Ke WU Assistant to the Dean, Research Assistant Professor

Research Assistant Professor (Associate Researcher) and Assistant to the Dean of the Institute of Risk Analysis, Prediction & Management (Risks-X) at Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), and a Senior Researcher at the Chair of Entrepreneurship of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH Zurich). His PhD study was supervised by Prof. Didier Sornette, the member of the Academia Europaea and the member of the Swiss Academy of Engineering Sciences (SATW); and in less than three years, he obtained his PhD from ETH Zurich. He was awarded Overseas High-level Talents from Shenzhen, 

the "Marie Curie" full PhD scholarship and the 2018 National Outstanding Self-financed International Students Scholarship. Dr. Wu has over 10 years of experience in secondary market investment and has developed his own quantitative trading models and trading systems to outperform the market. Since 2017, he has been responsible for the operation of the Global Financial Crisis Observatory (FCO) established by ETH Zurich in 2008. To detect financial bubbles, FCO scans more than 25,000 assets worldwide every day and gives early warning indicators, and publishes monthly reports on global financial market bubbles, which have been closely followed and cited by industries including hedge funds, asset management firms and banks. Dr. Wu is also the Secretary General of the Swiss-Sino Innovation Center, Vice President of the Swiss Alumni Association of Peking University, and Director of the Chinese Association of Finance in Switzerland. Dr. Wu holds a PhD in Science from ETH Zurich, an MSc in Financial Mathematics from Columbia University, double BA degrees in Economics from Peking University and a BA in Mathematics from Beijing Normal University.
